Being More than Normal

As a student most of us always desire to live a normal life in future. This is manifestation of  one of the very common and most loved habit of the creatures of animal kingdom and  that is "being fond of comfort"or in other words " Laziness". This is not only our problem but this is the problem of the whole nation leaving few exceptions. And today in a country of more than 130 million individuals these few exceptions are not enough. At least if we are depending on exceptions then we should be standing in support of them. The scenario these days is quite wretched. People don't want their children to go for any change. They just want them to follow others and most of us are doing the same. We are just following others without giving any thoughts to the question   "where our country is going?".

How can anyone be just thinking about his own career when his own nation is facing the biggest scams of corruption. No one is even worried about that. Few of those young people talk but don't take it seriously and most of them are not even concerned about what is going on in their surrounding. They are all busy working hard for getting jobs here or abroad. They see no point in wasting time on even thinking about these non-productive subjects. They know what is 'wrong' and they have been taught to keep themselves away from such 'wrong things'. They have never been told that if something is wrong and it belongs to them they just have to work for the betterment of such 'wrong things'. Politics or social service is never considered  as a career for those who are considered bright. They will work hard for being a journalist but they would laugh if someone even talks about the politics as carrier. That's why our nation has got the largest number of news channels than any single country in the whole world. That means we are happy to see the wrong things and also we are fine with showing everyone that 'wrong' but we are not trying for converting this wrong things into 'right ones'.
As a matter of fact most of  those bright students from the best colleges of our country who are considered as the geeks, do not even vote in elections. The reason is only that they are busy studying for their own bright future. They are happy in working for some foreign firm which gives them a nominal amount of money as compared to the work that they are doing for those firms and the money that they originally earn for their firm.
And what can I say when I hear from someone's mouth that "I have taken political science as a subject because it is an scoring subject in the examinations of administrative services. This is really a matter of deep sorrow for our country and for all of us.
At the top level and in general technical students become engineers, medical students become doctors, science students become scientists But "a political science student goes in politics" that is rare. Why don't we encourage our coming generations for becoming a social activist or joining politics as we do for other realms? Where do we see our nation if such corruption scams carry on for next 20 years? Can we really do nothing except talking or preaching ?  These questions demand our attention.
Open your ears and listen to the miserable condition of a crying nation which is calling for its own youth. And this is really shameful that it has to make a call for its own people . Don't we feel anything when we hear about the corruptions involving billions of our own money? This will carry on if there will not be anyone coming forward to take account of everything.
As a student we all should take an oath that no matter what condition we are facing, we will always be with our nation and if required we will not step back and take the firm actions.

  1. Being myself an Indian i think what you have raised is necessary and demanding for the country. Some of us can be entrepreneur instead of job seekers. But it requires the potential to step out, which is only possible when we are self established.I strongly appreciate your point but it'll take time and we all must think about it.

  4. Dude..good that you are sensitive about the nation, society and the well being of humanity. Though i expected a bit more constructive set of arguments here instead of the cynism apparent in your tone. I feel the youth of India (consists of many like you) is responsible and feels for the upliftment of the society, environment and the outlook of the people. Every individual has his role to play in this activism thus impeding a change. People working hard for their careers and thus securing a safe future are taking the first step required to build a self dependant and sustained strata. If we all do our bit to build, maintain and clean our homes and surroundings, ours will become a healthy nation without the need of social activists. You can, will and should donate food only when you and your family are satisfied and you have hunted enough to feed the less fortunate. Yes, we can do lot except 'talking and preaching' - we need to act. Stand tall and erect yourself for the country to have a stronger spine. Cheers!!

    1. Thanks for your views Bhaiya....
But I would like to make it clear that the aggression in my words is not meant for cynicism or pessimism and neither this is a call for being a social activist. It is just to remind few things to those who are being reluctant towards their responsibilities. These words have different meaning for different readers coming from different realms, belonging to youth of India and the aggression in the content is the result of the prevailing situation.

  5. hey ambuj there are two questions raised here. 1st one laziness and 2nd one duty towards our country.3rd hidden question " are we following our culture in right waay?". only If we follow our culkture in the way it has been shown< not being caught inuseless jerks, all of the problems can be removed.

    1. I agree with you Harshit.
If we follow our own ancient CULTURE (but not the baseless traditions which are obviously not the part of our culture)..we can solve most of the problems......
